From navigating complex systems on your behalf to providing a warm, welcoming space every day — Subco Trust is here at every stage. Our services are open to all, delivered in multiple languages, and tailored to each person’s needs.

01

Advice & Advocacy

Advice & Advocacy

We provide clear, reliable information and advice covering social care, health service access, housing, welfare benefits, aids, adaptations, and transport. No question is too small, and no system is too complicated — our experienced team is here to help you understand your rights and options.

We navigate complex bureaucracies on your behalf, communicating in your own language wherever possible, so you never feel alone when facing difficult decisions.

02

Ageing Well & End of Life

Ageing Well & End of Life

We enable elders and their carers to engage in thoughtful, open discussions about end-of-life care planning — in a safe and compassionate environment. We believe every person deserves to approach the later stages of life with clarity, dignity, and the support of people who truly care.

Our trained staff and volunteers offer sensitive guidance that respects individual wishes, cultural values, and family dynamics — helping elders live their final years well.

03

Day Services & Activities

Day Services & Activities

Activities are at the heart of everything we do at Subco Trust. Our structured day services provide social interaction, mental stimulation, physical activity, and genuine enjoyment — giving elders a meaningful, fulfilling routine to look forward to each week.

At the same time, our day services provide vital respite for unpaid carers, giving families peace of mind while their loved ones are in safe, caring hands. Everyone benefits.

04

Dementia Support

Dementia Support

We provide specialist activities and support for elders living with all stages of dementia — including early memory loss, moderate, and advanced dementia. Our trained, compassionate staff understand the unique needs of each person, creating a safe and welcoming environment where elders feel secure, valued, and understood.

We work closely with families and carers to ensure continuity of care, sharing progress and adapting our support as needs change over time.

05

Intergenerational Work

Intergenerational Work

We develop and deliver programmes that bring elders together with children and young people — creating meaningful connections across generations. Elders share their wisdom, life experience, and cultural heritage, while young people bring energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives. Both leave richer for the experience.

These programmes are proven to reduce isolation among older people, build empathy in younger generations, and strengthen the social fabric of our East London community.

06

Working with Carers

Working with Carers

Unpaid carers — family members, friends, and neighbours who look after our elders — are the backbone of community care, and they often have needs of their own. We recognise this vital role and offer dedicated support to help carers maintain their own health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Through Community Information Events, peer support groups, mentoring, focus groups, and workshops, we ensure carers are informed, connected, and never alone in their role.
